Baba’s men mandali and others outside the old tank seen from the south, probably September – October 1927. The Meher Ashram kitchen is behind to the right. There have been different names identified. From left to right: Rustom [or Savak Damania or Adi Snr], Chanji, Pendu, Jal [or maybe Slamson], Ghani, unidentified and Padri (with his leg on the windowsill). The next six men/boys have not been identified but it may be that they are boys from the village, a school teacher and a worker. The last three men on the right are believed to be Baidul, Chhagan and Slamson [or Buasaheb or Raosaheb]. Photographer G. M. Shah.
